Kuala Penyu

December 23, 2010

After getting across the river,
we reach Kuala Penyu.

We went driving around,
ate the food there(2nd and 3rd day),
And more driving around…

As implied by the picture above,
Went to this place called “Pantai Sewagan”…

It had a bridge/jetty to nowhere type theme as this platform goes on for a couple of hundreds of meters to the sea…

We climbed this tree…

And saw this puffy fish on the platform,
which was caught by fishermen…

Speaking of animals, we saw lots of em…

For example, Goats

Cicak besar…

Cows….

And this thing…

It’s a hunter…
LOL! Jk Jk…

Then we watched the sun set…

It was nice….

Then played Jump jump!!!

Me jumping…

H, jumping..

That’s all for now…

K.K. Trip Season 2 Part 14: Poring Hot Springs…

December 31, 2009

Went to Poring Hot Springs before coming back from Kundasang…
(not 100% sure of the name)

At first, We were greated with a nice bridge overseeing a stream…

And in accordance to WTF Law(soon to come),
when there’s a stream of nice looking water,

There’s bound to be a WTF to be taking photos of it…

And

As you can see,
I took some photos of the stream…

And after catching up with the group
(they actually left me at the bridge!!!),
We reached the hot springs!!!

Apparently,
no one is allowed to enter the actual hot springs
but the ‘fake ones’(at least I think) are allowed…

Me, Mom, Sam, Wellington and dearest Mimi

decided to walk to the waterfalls…

I was practically in a situation describe by the poem,
“The road not taken”
Couldn’t make my mind on which path to take…

In the end,
I took the path that was more travveled by…

And as WTF Law that was mentioned above,
I took Photos of the waterfalls!!!

After the Photos,
Had a dip into the FREEZING pool!!!

BRRR!!!!

Till Tomorrow, What The Fiq

K.K. Trip Season 2 Part 13: The Noise…

December 30, 2009

SLEEP…
One of the most important things a person should do…
I did try to sleep when I was in Kundasang…

Everyone decided to sleep downstairs…

EXCEPT ME!!!

Most of them did not want to sleep upstairs
because they did not want to climb the super steep stairs…

I didn’t want to sleep downstairs because I wanted to sleep early
but the rest of the group was still occupying the space down stairs.
Heck, someone was still watching Terminator 3 on TV.
How to sleep downstairs like that???

And so, I went upstairs to sleep…
but before I went to sleep,
I went to tell the rest “goodnight”
My uncle said “wah, you not afraid of ghost upstairs?”

I said “No”
I even told them that
“If got ghost, I’ll ask it to sleep in the bed next to me”
and with that, I went to sleep…

It was 12midnight when I woke up.
There was something that woke me up.
Realizing that there was nothing, I decided to go back to sleep…

But I just Couldn’t…

There was something amiss….
Something odd…
Something random but consistent…
It was….

THE NOISE…

It was very weird…
A Noise that would constantly repeat itself,
but when you expect it to sound,
It doesn’t…

A Noise so weird that it sounded like
a combination of
water dripping on a piece of zinc,
an insect making it’s noise,
and a nail being hammered lightly…

A Noise
with the consistency of water dripping
and the noisiness of an insect bugging
and the solidity of something solid…

For half an hour,
I couldn’t figure what the hell was that Noise…
So I gave up and moved downstairs…
So much for “I’m not afraid”…

*lame Khiew Mo Chicken*

Till tomorrow, Whatthefiq…

K.K. Fest Season 2 Part 11: Mooo Cow…

December 23, 2009

When we were at Kundasang,
we went to visit
the DESA DAIRY FARM…

Guess what, There were cows there!!!

We managed to witness a new born calf

Unfortunately, we did not witness the giving birth process itself…

MOOOO!!!!

As we were exiting,
the “entrance fee collector” conveinently decided to open the “entrance fee station”
As a result, we were forced to pay the fee…
But none of us brought money…
So how???
We only managed to cough up 90sen
and reassured the lady that we would “return” to pay the rest…

We did not return that day…
Oh well…

When I was reviewing my photos back home(Kuching),
I noticed the “5th leg” of the brown horse…

I then noticed that it wasnt a “5th leg” but rather something else…
Reminds me of a time when someone took her photo infront of two cows mating…

Oh well….

Till Tomorrow’s Tomorrow, What The Fiq…
